When creating your CERN login account, choose the email address that will be associated with your FLUKA registration according to the following guidelines:
- Single user: the use of your institutional/employer email address is very strongly recommended.
- Users affiliated with an institution or company holding a FLUKA licence: you must use your institutional or company email address associated with the licence.

If you already have a CERN Lightweight Account or a regular CERN account that satisfies the above requirements, you can skip Step 1.

We recommend creating a guest account by selecting "Create Guest Account" at the bottom of the CERN Guest Account registration page.
If you experience issues such as forgotten password, please consult this help page

You will receive an email with an activation link: your login account will be created once the activation has been completed.

Step 2: Fill in the FLUKA user registration form
(after login to account created / identified at Step 1)

Registration requests are subject to approval. Once approved, you will receive a "Successful FLUKA registration" email.
Please account for two working days for your FLUKA registration (Step 2) to be processed.

Registration FAQ:

I completed the registration form but still cannot download the FLUKA packages.
Many users mistakenly assume that creating a CERN account (Step 1) completes the registration process. Access to the FLUKA packages requires completion of both Step 1 and Step 2.

I completed both registration steps but still cannot download the FLUKA packages.
FLUKA registrations require administrative approval. Please allow up to two working days for your request to be processed.
Once approved, you will receive a "Successful FLUKA registration" email.
After receiving this confirmation, please note that it may take an additional few hours for the registration database to update before download access becomes available.

I received a "Successful FLUKA registration" email but encounter a 401 – Unauthorized error when downloading packages.
- You are not logged in using the email address that received the successful FLUKA registration email. Please do so: only that email address is authorized.
- You are logged into a different CERN account from the one used during registration (Step 2). Both the email address and the login method must match those used during registration. For example, if you used "External email - Guest access" while logging in when you made your FLUKA registration request (Step 2), you need to login via this authentification method. Same for "Home organisation - eduGAIN" etc.
You can do such a login by opening this page in incognito mode / on a new device.
- You might be trying to download source code packages, while your account only has permission to access the binary packages. All registered users have access to the binary distributions. If you believe you should have access to the source code, please contact us using the contact form.

Can I use FLUKA as a private individual for academic or educational purposes?

Yes. Private users may obtain access to the FLUKA software with binary libraries. During registration, you will be asked to certify the intended purpose of your use.

We would like to install FLUKA centrally on a university or institute computing cluster. Is an Institutional FLUKA Licence required?
No. An institutional licence is not required if the installation only requires the FLUKA binary libraries. However, every user of the central installation must individually register on this website (selecting "I am affiliated with an institute ... NOT holding an institutional FLUKA licence") and accept the FLUKA Single User Licence Agreement.

I am a CERN Staff member or Fellow. Do I still need to register?
Yes. All users, including CERN staff members and fellows, must complete Step 2 of the FLUKA registration process before downloading FLUKA packages.

Does registration automatically grant access to the FLUKA source code?

No. Access to the FLUKA source code is restricted to registered users affiliated with an academic institution holding an Institutional FLUKA Licence from CERN (see licenses), as well as to CERN staff members and fellows who have completed the registration process.
Institutions interested in obtaining an Institutional FLUKA Licence are encouraged to contact the FLUKA team using the contact form.

Do I need to register to download the graphical user interface Flair
?
No. Registration is not required to download Flair.

How can I unsubscribe as a FLUKA user?

Please submit a request through the contact form and select "Unsubscribe as a FLUKA user." Use the same email address that was used during registration. Your registration data will be removed and access to the FLUKA packages will be revoked.
