Dear FLUKA users,
It is our pleasure to announce that the registration is open for the upcoming FLUKA course for beginners, taking place from 16 May to 20 May in Brussels.
The indico page of the event is: https://indico.cern.ch/event/1123370/
The registration section of this page will remain operational until available places (35 participants + a few slots in a waiting list) are filled.
This in-person training will consist of a series of lectures and exercises, carefully crafted to allow a novice user to master the basic operation of FLUKA and its powerful graphical user interface Flair.
A tentative timetable is available in the eponymous tab of the indico page.
Participants are asked to register as FLUKA users at https://fluka.cern/download/registration and to have installed the latest released version of both FLUKA (4.2.2 from https://fluka.cern/download/latest-fluka-release) and Flair (3.1-15 from https://flair.cern/download.html) on their machines.
No installation support will be provided. Meanwhile, technical questions can be addressed to the FLUKA Forum at: https://fluka-forum.web.cern.ch/
The fee for the course amounts to 400 CHF for academic users and 1400 CHF for commercial users.
Note that the course registration is a two-step process: you will first receive an automatic e-mail acknowledging the initiation of your registration; then, after approval, you will receive a second automatic e-mail to proceed to the fee payment (see the event page for more details).
Registrations can only be considered complete after the fee payment (or proof thereof) has been received. After reception of the first automatic email, you have two weeks to complete the payment. After that, the registration will be dropped to give other participants from the waiting list a chance to participate.
For further clarification, feel free to contact us at fluka.course@cern.ch
We look forward to seeing you in Brussels,
The FLUKA.CERN Team
